The Mission of the Hollywood South Urban Film Festival (HSUFF) is to help expose underserved African American filmmakers and music producers as well as actors and screenwriters. We want to share the African American Experience to the world. However, we also honor and award the best talent and do not exclude entry to any creative works from any other cultures . Creator's works are displayed on the "BIG SCREEN" at the Historic Saenger Theatre in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

Event Date: Sunday August 26th, 2018 Place: The Historic Saenger Theatre - Hattiesburg, Mississippi Time: 1:00 p.m. -  9:00 p.m.  Doors open at 12:00 p.m.  Welcome to the Hollywood South Urban Film Festival 2018!!!  

It is with great honor that we extend an invitation to all movie goers, music lovers, and everyone that has a love and appreciation for the arts, to attend the first annual Hollywood South Urban Film Festival 2018, which will take place in the historic downtown square at the Historic Saenger Theatre in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.  HSUFF is an organization that wants to bring people together to acknowledge and appreciate the history of African American culture, encouraging everyone to share our art, stories and history with one another.  Hattiesburg has always been a community where diversity is celebrated and embraced.  So it gives us great pleasure to invite everyone from the Pine Belt Area and worldwide to the Hollywood South Urban Film Festival.  We as an organization expect over 2,500 people to be in attendance for this year's festival activities.  With the screening of shorts films, feature films, documentaries, and music videos submitted from local filmmakers, artists and submitters worldwide. There will be something for everyone for all ages to enjoy.  We know that this experience will exceed all your expectations as you can look forward to seeing and hearing all the diverse stories told during the film festival.  The HSUFF will provide up and coming filmmakers, actors, singers, and music producers a platform to tell their stories by providing them opportunities to show their art on the Big Screen at the Historic Saenger Theatre.  Although we on focus providing exposure of African American content, this film festival will be a platform that will give all genres an opportunity for their work to be seen.    The Hollywood South Urban Film Festival wants to make sure that great films, documentaries, and music videos are not overlooked.  Many times art that is related to African American culture gets overlooked because of the lack of star power or strong finances to back it, so our festival committee will personally screen every project submitted selecting the very best projects to be shown at the film festival.  The HSUFF committee is also looking for sponsors and local volunteers to help us with this extraordinary event.  The experience will be a great opportunity to meet and network with people that members of the film industry.  We encourage all sponsors, volunteers, and attendees to take full advantage of the historic downtown area in Hattiesburg as well.  The area is the heart of the city where all people can dine, dance, and listen great music.  The downtown Hattiesburg area is a wonderful place where you can meet some of the most friendliest folks in the southern region.  This is what makes the Pine Belt area a wonderful place for such a wonderful.  SEE YOU AT THE MOVIES.
